Directions

• Take the West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway North to the George Washington Bridge (GWB).
• Take the upper level of GWB to the Palisades North.
• Take Exit 9W (not Route 9W) to 87 North.
• Take Exit 16 to Route 17 North towards Monticello, and Binghamton.
• At Monticello take Exit 104 to Route 17B West.
• Stay on 17B approximately 25 miles, all the way to Callicoon.
• As you enter Callicoon, St James Church is visible on your right, on a small rise, diagonally opposite Roche's garage.

*There are two turns 17B takes that are well marked but can be confusing. First, about 14.7 miles after getting off at Monticello (exit 104), you see a traffic light in Fosterdale. Turn Right at the traffic light to stay on 17B. At this point the road is also Route 52. Then about .6 miles ahead, Route 17B and 52 separate. This time you will want to bear left to stay on 17B.

From Connecticut, The Hudson Valley, Newburgh & Middletown

• Take 84 West and cross the Hudson River, past Newburgh to Middletown.
• Take Exit 4 at Middletown to Route 17 North, towards Monticello, Binghamton, and Catskills Region.
• At Monticello take Exit 104 to Route 17B West.
• Stay on 17B approximately 25 miles, all the way to Callicoon.
• As you enter Callicoon, St James Church is visible on your right, on a small rise, diagonally opposite Roche's garage.

From Port Jervis,NY and the Poconos, PA.

• Take Route 97 North from Port Jervis to Callicoon (aproximately 50 minutes from Port Jervis).
• As you enter Callicoon, St James Church is visible on your right, on a small rise, diagonally opposite Roche's garage.

The Poconos:

Several bridges cross the Delaware River from PA into NY between Port Jervis and Callicoon. Route 97 North runs parallel to the Delaware on the NY side, and may be picked up easily from these bridge crossings, eg at Barryville, Narrowsburg, or Cochecton.

From Binghamton:

• Take Route 17 South to Exit 87, Hancock.
• Take Route 97 South from Hancock to Callicoon (approximately 25 miles).
• At the traffic light in Callicoon, just beyond the blinking light, turn left.
• At the stop sign you will see St James church on your left, on a small rise.

From Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, PA (Also Carbondale and Honesdale, PA)

• Take Route 81 North to Route 6 East towards Honesdale.
• At Honesdale, turn left onto Route 191 North & go approximately 10 miles.
• Turn right onto Route 371 going East, & cross the Delaware River at Cochecton.
• Turn left onto Route 97 North to Callicoon (the next town).
• As you enter Callicoon, turn right at the traffic light.
• St James Church is visible on your right, on a small rise, diagonally opposite Roche's garage.
